Greedy Growers Seed Tier List

A Greedy Growers tier list is less about collecting every seed and more about managing risk. Every planted tree grows value while lightning waits in the wings. This ranking groups seed choices by how hard they punish a late harvest, how they interact with mutated or weather-gated buys, and how they fit early versus late coin budgets. How we rank seeds

1. Upside — how much a fully grown tree can pay if you survive.
2. Lightning exposure — longer growth windows mean more chances to lose everything.
3. Entry cost — river price versus your coin reserve (see economy).
4. Mutation / weather synergy — whether “buy only mutated” or “plant during weather” toggles matter.
5. Recovery speed — how fast you can replant after a strike.

Exact in-game names and prices shift with updates. Treat tiers as strategy bands, then verify live river stock in your session. Check updates after patches.

S tier — high upside, disciplined harvests

S-tier picks are the seeds you plant when you can watch the plot. They reward patience with tall growth and strong sell values, but they are the worst seeds to AFK. If you cannot sit through the growth window, drop one tier. Pair S picks with the timing rules in harvest before lightning.

Mutated variants of top seeds belong here when the river offers them within your max-cost limit. The extra premium is wasted if lightning hits before you harvest.

A tier — best default grinders

A-tier seeds are the workhorses for most sessions. They grow fast enough that you can complete several cycles per sitting, and they refill coins for the next river trip without demanding perfect focus. New players should live here after finishing getting started.

When Auto Buy style play (manual or scripted) keeps a coin reserve, A-tier stock is what you spam between rare mutated rolls.

B tier — safe starters and recovery picks

B-tier covers cheap river seeds you buy after a wipe. Their job is not glory; it is rebuilding a buffer so the next lightning loss does not end the session. If you just rebirth’d, read rebirth and expect to spend time in B tier before chasing S again.

C tier — skip or situational only

C-tier means poor value for time or awkward growth windows that do not match your attention span. Skip them unless they are the only stock left and you need any plantable seed to stay in the loop.

Mutated versus normal stock

Mutated seeds are not automatically S tier. They become S when you can afford the premium and you will be present for harvest. Otherwise a normal A-tier seed you actually cash out beats a mutated tree that dies to lightning. Deep dive: mutated seeds.

Sample session plan

1. Open with B/A seeds to build a coin reserve.
2. Buy one higher tier or mutated seed when reserve covers two full failures.
3. Watch the plot; harvest on the first scary weather cue rather than max height ego.
4. Sell at the stand, then decide rebirth only after reading players.
5. Recheck codes if you need a free refill after bad luck.

Mobile and PC differences

On mobile, harvest timing is harder. Prefer A/B tiers until your taps feel reliable — see controls. On PC, you can attempt more S-tier greed because click latency is usually lower.
